Based upon her intensive training and experience handling serious and complex cases, she is currently qualified to try death penalty cases as co-counsel. Her undergraduate degree was obtained with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Studies. She is a graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law. During her time in law school, she volunteered with the Guardian Ad Litem Program and provided free assistance to the indigent and elderly with their income tax filings.
After law school, she was hired by the Public Defender’s Office in Bartow, Florida, where she worked in all areas of criminal law for the past 8 years. She has experience working with clients in drug court programs and clients with severe mental health issues. Ms. Arreguin has training and experience in many areas of forensic science; including DNA, firearms identification, fingerprint identification, forensic pathology and the use of cell phone location data.
Mr. Culbert is an experienced trial lawyer with over 15 years of experience exclusively devoted to criminal defense at both the state and federal levels. He has defended individuals in a wide range of criminal cases, including drug offenses, federal drug conspiracy charges, white collar crimes, homicide, violent crimes, sex crimes, DUI and violations of probation.
Gonzalo Andux is a graduate of the University of Florida, and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He has been a trial lawyer for over 29 years. Mr. Andux practiced as a trial attorney at the Office of the Public Defender in Jacksonville, Florida for 23 years. Ann E. Finnell is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She has been a trial lawyer for over 35 years. She has handled homicide and death penalty cases and is qualified to be court appointed on death penalty cases as first chair counsel. Ms. Finnell also handles capital sexual battery cases and other sexual offenses, drug trafficking, sales and possession cases as well as DUI and domestic violence cases. In addition to criminal cases, Ms. Finnell handles trial litigation involving family law, child custody/support and personal injury cases.
Patricia Kyser has practiced law in the state of Florida for over 28 years. She worked in the Jacksonville office as an Assistant Public Defender for over 21 years and served as a Division Chief in felony court for 19 of those years. Ms. Kyser is an experienced trial attorney who has tried a wide range of cases – from misdemeanors to serious felony cases. She has extensive criminal defense experience handling sexual battery, child abuse, arson, armed robbery, aggravated assault and battery cases. Ms. Kyser is a member of the Clay County Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
